Happy July! This month calls us to reflect on the meaning of independence and we believe financial literacy is critical in creating a fulfilling future. For young women of color, this journey towards independence can be uniquely challenging given the systemic barriers they often face. This is why the Alzenia Project, Inc. is dedicated to educating young women about financial literacy (FL) because we know that an equitable future starts with all young women having the tools to thrive personally, professionally, and economically.

🎓 Senior Send Off: This year, in support of cultivating independence, Brown Girls Do Ballet (BGDB) honors 10 young women who have worked tirelessly, showing dedication, passion, and resilience both on and off the stage. Through their Senior Send Off Initiative, BGDB empowers the graduating young women in their program with a financial gift to start their new journey.
