BLACK HISTORY MONTH SPOTLIGHT: MRS. ALZENIA FAVORS HUNTER

The Alzenia Project, Inc. is proudly named after our founder’s grandmother, Mrs. Alzenia Favors Hunter. She was a strong and determined woman who inspired, nurtured, encouraged and empowered our founder, Cynthia Plouché, with her love and by example. Her spirit of resilience and commitment to not only her family and community, but to her own self helped her to achieve her dreams.

A Dallas Morning News article published in February 1968 featured Mrs. Hunter. Read more about her story below. Published by Dallas Morning News, February 4, 1968
